It most certainly has been a final busy half term so far, with lots of exciting events happening for the whole school.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate our Year 5 / 6 cricket team who attended the Hambleton Cricket Finals in Thirsk.
Before the Easter holiday we warmly welcomed Mrs Thrussell to the HOOSC team, as next week we say goodbye to Mrs Turner.
Another extremely busy month and second half of the Spring term.
Years 5 and 6 had a very successful Federation residential to a new location, Newby Wiske. The children enjoyed a
variety of activities, many of the highlights being the canoeing, high ropes, fencing and of course the silent disco! A
huge thank you to Mr Chapman and Mr Houghton for accompanying the children with Sessay staff as well.
Another very busy and eventful month in school. Before half term the federation supported NSPCC Number Day arranged by our Moneymakers pupil voice group, Miss Wilkie and Mrs Chappell. It was a day full of maths activities and making maths meaningful as well as supporting the NSPCC. Our JustGiving page contributed towards the national total of £25395.00 raised to help to fund their vital services such as Childline – the helpline that’s always there for children and young people whatever
their problem or concern. Well done everyone!
